Fungi foray 2026

It was a fabulous, crisp and sunny Autumn afternoon for our Fungi Foray last Sunday. Nearly 40 people were out hunting through the trees for those marvellous mushrooms.

It’s been such a dry year this year, we weren’t sure what we would find, if anything; but the wood provided! Thanks to the kids for doing most of the leg work, and to the ever-wonderful Steve Joul, who kept up with them all identifying, explaining and demonstrating. We even added four new fungi to our list!

Huge thank you to Steve for leading the walk, and to everyone who turned up.

Our next family event is our Winter Wreath Workshop in December.
