Summer Party 2026
Join us for our Summer Party family event as part of our Rhythm of Nature series, on Saturday 5 September, 10.30-13.30, just inside the Wood from the green arch entrance at the end of Gipton Wood Road.
With a mix of woodland craft and activities, ways to explore nature, natural play, BBQ, a crackling campfire and marshmallows, as well as tea, cake and more, there’s an activity for everyone.
We’ll also have a produce stall, so please bring any jams, pickles, spare fruit and veg you are happy to donate to help raise money for Friends of Gipton Wood activities.
Help us to celebrate the summer, the wonderful work of our volunteers this year, and the Wood in full leaf! And keep the kids occupied that first weekend after schools go back. There’s no need to book, just come along and join in the fun.
